Mitzvah Action 2

Engaging in tikkun olam, the repairing of our world, is a shared value that unites us as Jews. The mission of the Mitzvah Action Committee of Temple Har Shalom is to create a culture of social consciousness that inspires volunteers to take action and perform mitzvot.

Performing mitzvot will MAKE A DIFFERENCE in our synagogue, our community, and for those in need. From the youngest children to most mature adults, these acts of kindness instill and reinforce the importance of charitable giving, showing compassion, and pursuing peace. No one is ever too young or too old to be a mitzvah maker. Please consider joining the Mitzvah Action Committee or volunteering your time in our ongoing Mitzvah Madness Activities. Please contact Audrey Taffet,  Chairwoman, at for more information about volunteer opportunities.

Soup Kitchen

We would LOVE to find someone to chair this part of MAC. Julia Heilberg has been doing an amazing job, but could use assistnace. Chairing this entails coordinating the food and volunteers for the soup kitchen visits. Please contact if you have an interest.

Important Donation Information

The Fire Marshall has advised us that the red bins in the Lower Atrium create a fire hazard. Collection information will be provided for specific donation opportunities during the year. We kindly ask that no donations are dropped off at the Temple if there is no specific collection taking place. If you have any questions, please contact Audrey at
